‘Constructed Simulacrum’
Virtual representations are taking on a greater role in human communication, resulting in the memory of our reality being based upon mixture of actual experience and counterfeit experience. In order to deal with this hybridized information, details that make up a reality are grasped abstractly as ‘impression’ rather than fully comprehended. This project examines the technique representing the ‘impression’ of a place as a built form. Superimposition of ‘reality’ and constructed simulacrum affords viewers the opportunity to re-experience temporal place.
